Cablon Medical offers with CNERGY innovative solutions in the areas of “Quality Assurance & Safety”, “Precision, Imaging & Viewing”, “Patient Identification & Monitoring” and “Advanced Couch Setup & Control”. It was by working in close collaboration with partners in radiotherapy that many new solutions were found. Every solution is a response to specific practical issues and employs the latest state-of the-art technologies. Practical experience has taught us that by joining forces can deliver solutions with the highest levels of precision and safety. Synergy at its best!
CNERGY Quality Assurance & Safety solutions contributes to safe and accurate radiotherapy treatments. Based on Image verification or CBCT registration results the patient can be positioned more accurately, so that safety margins around target and critical organs can be reduced. Interlocks are used to secure the entire workflow.¹
CNERGY Check includes the independent Couch Setup Assistant (TCSA), which has been a common feature in many radiotherapy centers. In combination with the worfklow manager, the couch is swiftly and smoothly adjusted for pre-treatment and remote online patient setup corrections. The high level of accuracy in patient setup increases treatment safety and patient care. Also, CNERGY Check prevents treatment until the required pre-treatment patient setup corrections have been performed., minimizing the risk of setup errors of misalignments.

Image quality of the EPID sytem can be easilty monitored with ContrasatDetail or a QC3-phantom. An accurate callibration method measures the multileaf collimator positions.³
Read moreEvery radiotherapy treatment is unique. CNERGY Precision, Imaging & Viewing contribute to accurate radiotherapy treatments. From Total Body treatments, fast double 2D kv or MV imaging, CNERGY offers extensive Image Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT) abilities to verify the patient’s position.
Total Body Irradiation can be a complex treatment and may take up to an hour. Patient movements or positioning difficulties can double the time required. CNERGY TBI aims to help you significantly improve Total Body Irradiation treatment setup procedures and outcomes. Instead of simply producing a single image, the solution relies on Intrafraction Monitoring in the form of live video capture to provide 1376 x 1024 resolutioin (14 bits/pixel) MV images. This will deliver greater efficiency and improved treatment quality compared to the classic film cassette methods.¹

Read morePatient identification and monitoring is crucial in radiotherapy. With the CNERGY solutions you make sure that the correct patient receives the correct treatment. Using CNERGY helps radiotherapy clinics to prove their compliance with all current regulations.
Reliable patient identification is crucial in radiotherapy. Nowadays the checks are done mostly manually, for instance, checking the patient’s date of birth or using a photograph. These methods are error-sensitive, as these checks are not integrated in the workflow there is no 100% guarantee that the steps are always executed. Together with one of the radiotherapy centres in The Netherlands, Cablon Medical has made another step forward with use of a palm scan connected to the R&V system and accelerator. It identifies the patient through the unique palm vein profile. The blood vessel pattern is unique to each person and is more accurate than other biometric methods, such as facial recognition and iris scan.¹ In addition, it works fast⁴ and is suitable for all patients, even the ones that need to undergo chemotherapy and whose fingerprint may temporarily disappear.
Read moreDuring breast irradiation treatments it is important to protect the heart and lungs as much as possible. CNERGY Breath Hold monitors the patient’s respiratory motion in order to check that the patient is holding their breath correctly. Deep inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) is a proven technique resulting in a maximum dose in thetreatment area while the surrounding tissue is spared.³
Read moreCNERGY Advanced Couch Setup & Control is a solution on top of CNERGY Check to enable 6 degrees of freedom (6 DoF) corrections in the clinic. By using the same user interface, both 3D and 6DoF systemens can be controlled in a user friendly manner. Because no extrea workload is needed, non-stereotactic patients can be postioned with the same accuracy as stereotactic patients.
6 DoF robotic couches are preferred for high precision radiotherapy. These systems may diminish patient setup errors and improve target positioning. If the target can be positioned more accurately, safety margins around target and critical organs can be reduced. CNERGY and CQ Medical have joined forces by combining CNERGY Check and Protura Robotic Patient Positioning System using the CNERGY Protura interface. This module is able to perform 3D or 6 DoF corrections with submillimeter precision.¹
