3D printers

For 3D printing, Cablon Medical offers two different printers. These printers make it possible to quickly and accurately print patient-specific devices, such as brachytherapy applicators and boluses.

Specifications 3D printers

Raise3D Pro 2 Plus printer

Thanks to the Raise3D Pro2 Plus 3D printer, a hospital can make instant on-site adjustments for any treatment changes. In addition, the printer undergoes a strict quality control process designed specifically for printing medical devices. This 3D printer is suitable for making Simple Bolus, MEB, HDR surface brachytherapy and 3D printed molds.

Formlabs Form 3B+ printer

The Formlabs Form 3B+ combined with Asaptiiv’s RT software provides a solution for designing and creating patient-specific brachytherapy applicators. This approach is accessible to any level of personnel and budget. The Form 3B+ is large enough to print multiple surgical instruments and medical devices simultaneously. The printer is also compatible with different types of resins, ideal for making IC/IS (intracavitary/interstitial) boluses.

Advantages of the 3D printing solutions:

  • Reduces patient setup time; increases the number of treatments with linear accelerators
  • Improves the accuracy of dose delivery to the treatment area
  • Supports and corrects anatomical irregularities
  • Significantly reduces the cost of brachytherapy and modulated bolus treatments
  • Improves the patient experience.
