Fluke 451p

To avoid unnecessary exposure to radiation, it is important to detect any radiation leakage and stray radiation in X-ray and radiation areas. The Fluke 451p was originally designed to measure radiation leakage and radiation around X-ray and radiation areas. Its measurement options make it very suitable for a wide range of end users, including X-ray machine manufacturers, government agencies, biomedical technicians and maintenance technicians for airport luggage scanners.

High radiation sensitivity

The device features a pressurised ionisation chamber, which leads to higher sensitivity (μSv resolution) and an improved response. The ionisation chamber quickly detects radiation leakage and stray radiation around X-ray and gamma radiation equipment. In addition, the low-noise isolation chamber bias provides a fast background resolution time.

Easy to read out

The digital display features an analogue bar graph, low battery and freeze functions (peak hold) and an automatic backlight function. The control buttons comprise an ON/OFF button and a MODE button. The carrying case is made of lightweight, high-quality material and protects against moisture.

The RS232 interface can be used for direct connection to a computer with the Excel add-in for Windows (451EXL). This software makes it possible to call up information, select user parameters and provides a virtual instrument display with audible (requires sound card) and visible alarm indication.

Features:

  • High-sensitivity μR measurements to measure dose and dose rate simultaneously and in which the peak dose is also retained.
  • Ergonomic handle for problem-free long-term use, interchangeable grip, wrist strap and tripod stand.
  • Programmable LCD display and audible alarm.
  • Battery is easy to replace (space for two 9 volt alkaline batteries).
  • RS232 communication interface with optional Windows Excel add-in for data storage and processing.
  • Available with dose-equivalent energy response (SI units).
