The effect of radiation on the eyes
Research has shown that a high dose of radiation on the eye lens is directly related to the development of cataracts. Therefore, the resolution ‘Basis Veiligheidsnormen Stralingsbescherming’, includes a reduced dose limit for the eye: now a maximum dose 20 mSv is accepted per calender year.

The safety glasses come with a protection degree of 0.5 mm Pb of 0.75 mm Pb equivalent.
